Bond Street, in the heart of Mayfair, will switch on its Crown Jewel Christmas lights on Thursday 12th November 2026, marking the start of the festive shopping season. London Post reports that the annual event runs from 4pm to 8pm.

The switch-on

A live brass band will lead a countdown, with the lights illuminating the street at 7pm. For the evening, Bond Street will be closed to traffic, so visitors can explore on foot past its boutiques and flagship stores.

The programme includes entertainment, live music performances and special experiences hosted by a selection of luxury brands.

What to expect

  • The illumination of the Ralph Lauren Giving Tree, in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
  • A calligraphy experience by Montblanc
  • Drinks and seasonal treats hosted by participating brands, including Sketch, Fendi, Burberry, Audemars Piguet, Etro and Jimmy Choo

Visitors can also see the street's Christmas façades, where luxury houses put up seasonal displays that stay in place through the festive period.

The last of this design

This Christmas is the final chance to see the current lighting scheme, as an entirely new design is due to be unveiled for Christmas 2027. The scheme uses 80,000 energy-efficient LED lights, which are reusable, recyclable and made with long-life materials. Illumination hours will also be reduced throughout the festive period to help limit the environmental impact.

Anyone planning to go should check timings and any access details closer to the date, as the street will be closed to traffic for the evening.
