Mayfair, London W1, is due to gain a new boutique hotel, with Minor Hotels confirming plans for its first Colbert Collection property in the United Kingdom, Rus Tourism News reports.
What is opening
The hotel will be called WestDill Mayfair Hotel London, Colbert Collection. It is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026. It will offer 50 rooms and suites across six floors, alongside a restaurant and bar. Both are designed to emphasise social interaction and culinary experiences, which are described as key pillars of the Colbert Collection brand.
The building
The hotel will be created from a historic building that is being converted from its former use as a NatWest bank and office space. The Grade II listed building was designed by the architect William Curtis Green in the early 1920s. Rus Tourism News describes the project as part of a broader trend of repurposing heritage properties into boutique hospitality spaces.
Location
The hotel's position in Mayfair puts it within walking distance of Buckingham Palace, as well as shopping and entertainment areas including Piccadilly Circus, Knightsbridge and the West End theatre district.
Who is behind it
The project is owned by Royal Group of Companies Singapore, which is entering the European hospitality market for the first time after decades of operating across Asia and the Pacific.
Colbert Collection is Minor Hotels' recently launched premium soft brand. It focuses on independent-style properties that blend local character with high-end service, aimed at travellers looking for immersive and socially driven stays. The London opening forms part of Minor Hotels' wider strategy to strengthen its presence in key international markets, with executives pointing to the city's global appeal and strong demand for boutique luxury accommodation.
