Nammos is set to open in Mayfair, London W1, this May, with a restaurant on Berkeley Street. Hospitality & Catering News reports that London is the first in a planned series of global city openings for the group, which is expanding beyond its resort and coastal base.
The restaurant
Nammos London spans two floors and will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week. The group currently operates in Mykonos, Dubai, Cannes, Sardinia and Limassol, with further city locations in development.
The menu
The food is rooted in Mediterranean cuisine with Japanese influence. It focuses on carefully sourced fish and shellfish, a dedicated raw bar and wood-fired dishes from the Josper grill. Signature dishes named by the publication include:
- Aubergine Mille-Feuille with feta mousse
- Spicy Crab Tartare finished with yuzu truffle
- Black Angus beef, described as an exclusive grade known for its tenderness
Drinks
The drinks list pairs a global wine list with cocktails. These include the Nammos Spritz and the Mediterranean Martini, described as a twist on a British classic with a hint of Greek flair.
Private dining and events
The first floor is designed for private dining and events. It is supported by a year-round cultural programme.
Design and approach
The London site is described as an urban expression of the Nammos identity rather than a copy of its beach restaurant format. Food, service and atmosphere draw on the original Mykonos kitchen and its two decades of focus on ingredient quality and Mediterranean craft.
No exact opening date or booking details were given in the report, so check the restaurant directly nearer the time.
